What’s New at Costco
New in the Costco bakery: Kirkland Signature Garlic Parmesan Butter Dinner Rolls. At first glance, they might look like cinnamon rolls, but these savory beauties are tucked away in the refrigerated section. Just remove the plastic lid, cover with foil, and pop them (foil pan and all!) into the oven at 350°F for 25–30 minutes. You get 12 rolls for $7.99 — buttery, garlicky goodness ready to go. Lay’s Honey Butter Potato Chips just showed up at my local Costco, and I was this close to grabbing a bag. But $6.29 for a giant 23-ounce bag of something I might not even like? I couldn’t quite commit. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a smaller bag at Fred Meyer instead. These are part of Lay’s Global Edition, inspired by the flavors of Korea — and I’ve got to admit, I’m intrigued. Prices and availability may vary by location. Item #1829426.
Pop-Tarts fans and Girl Scout cookie lovers — heads up! Select Costco stores are now carrying a new combo pack featuring 16 Frosted Thin Mints Pop-Tarts and 16 Frosted Coconut Caramel Pop-Tarts. It’s a cookie-breakfast crossover I didn’t see coming… not sure how I feel about it yet, but here’s hoping it tastes as fun as it sounds. $7.79 for a 32-count box. Time to stock up, cat parents! Scoop Away Complete Performance Plus Clumping Cat Litter (42-lb pack) is on sale at Costco for $12.39 through May 4, 2025. This kitty litter is made with plant extracts to help control odors and features a tight-clumping formula that makes scooping a breeze. While it’s marketed as low-dust, expect a little cloud during cleanup. Prices and availability may vary by location.

Spotted a great deal at Costco: the Design Optics by Foster Grant Reading Glasses 3-Pack is on sale for $13.99, through April 19, 2025. I love that they come in a mix of stylish designs and strength options from +1.25 to +3.00 — super handy if you’re always misplacing a pair (guilty!). The frames are lightweight but surprisingly sturdy, with core-wired temples and spring hinges that make them feel a lot more comfortable than you’d expect at this price. Coffee Crush
After taking my daughter to the airport, I was in the mood for Vietnamese coffee and decided to give the Drip & Sip a try. The Ca Phe Trung (egg coffee) sounded interesting so I wandered out of my comfort zone and went for it. The egg coffee is sweetened with condensed milk and topped with a creamy meringue-like fluffy egg cream. Wow, so good! This place is in the middle of a neighborhood in Tukwila, WA with just a couple of timed (but free) parking spots out front. If I’m in the area again, I definitely will be back.
Nature Walk
Sunny days in Seattle hit different. Took a stroll through Lincoln Park, soaked up the views, and watched the ferries float by like a PNW postcard. Water + trees + sunshine = perfect day. Happy Easter!
