I like to check out the “What’s New” tab in the Same Day section of the Costco app and I was totally surprised to find Kirkland Signature French Fries! So of course, I had to head to the store and pick up a bag…immediately. I also decided to pick up some Wendy’s canned chili, Tillamook cheese, and some organic onions while I was there.

I got home and dropped some french fries in the air fryer, cooked some chili on the stovetop, shredded the cheeses, and chopped an onion. I followed the cooking instructions for the fries but ended up adding more cooking time because it wasn’t getting crispy. At that point, I really wish I had purchased that deep fryer Costco was selling last year.

The french fries finally came out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Well, most of them anyways. Next time I will bake them in the oven and see how that goes. But these batter-coated fries had a good crunch, probably from the rice flour and food starch, and they were seasoned as well. I turned them into chili cheese fries and it was delicious.

I should have let the cheese melt before taking the picture…
