I was totally surprised to see that my local Costco food court is selling strawberry soft serve ice cream! So, of course, I had to try it. I didn’t go all in though. I ordered a strawberry / vanilla twist ice cream, just in case I didn’t like the strawberry ice cream.
I actually wanted to try the strawberry / vanilla twist sundae but the food court was out of the strawberry topping.
The strawberry soft serve tasted like strawberry soft serve ice cream. It didn’t taste overly artificial. It was a nice change of pace but I’ll probably just stick with the vanilla soft serve with strawberry topping next time.
Costco’s Price
A cup of Kirkland Signature soft serve ice cream is $1.99, while the ice cream sundae is $2.49. What a deal, right?! The ice cream choices are vanilla or strawberry or strawberry/vanilla twist. The sundae toppings are strawberry or chocolate. The food court ordering kiosk only offered a chocolate topping with vanilla ice cream.
Calorie Count
So a Costco-size ice cream cup has around 550 calories while an ice cream sundae has 650-690 calories. Sigh. Yep, that’s a lot of calories.

The Kirkland Signature strawberry ice cream may be a limited time offering at the Costco food court. If sales are good, then it may have a chance to become a regular part of the menu.
