Summary Review
This year’s Lasko Pedestal Fan (Model S18654) has a turbine inspired blade with up to a 40% increase in velocity as compared to last year’s Lasko Pedestal Fan (Model: S18640). This year’s version sold at Costco has a high velocity that moves air up to 1,187 feet per minute. Some online reviewers have mentioned that this new version makes a continuous clicking noise after using the fan for awhile on high speed along with a burning smell. Also, this year’s version uses a button battery in the remote versus the more convenient AA batteries used in previous remotes.
